About Justin Elementary School
Justin Elementary School serves families in the northern portion of Northwest ISD, where it is known for its small-town atmosphere, where all students are treated as important members of the school community.
The school is named after the town it resides in, which itself is named after Justin Sherman, a chief engineer with the Santa Fe Railroad. The area was settled in 1883, and the town was formally named in 1887, when the community petitioned for the name of Justin.
At Justin, the school partners with parents, caregivers and the community to prepare students to achieve their desires. The school allows students to voice their strengths, set their goals, apply future-ready skills, and meet or exceed grade-level expectations.
Justin students have access to a wide range of extracurricular opportunities across academics, athletics and fine arts. A Destination Imagination team encourages problem-solving skills, a running club keeps kids fit, a choir provides musical opportunities and a garden club is available.
